Kashmir Exploitation Day rally held in Dera Murad Jamali under Assistant Commissioner

NASEERABAD: A solidarity rally was held on Kashmir Exploitation Day on the orders of Naseerabad Deputy Commissioner Virender Lal. It was led by Dera Murad Jamali Assistant Commissioner Bahadur Khan Khosa and Additional Deputy Commissioner Khalil Ahmed. Officials of district departments, teachers, students, representatives of civil society and people from various walks of life took part in large numbers.

The rally began at the Deputy Commissioner’s Office, passed along the designated routes to Allah Hu Chowk and ended back at the Deputy Commissioner’s Office. The participants carried banners and placards with slogans in support of the Kashmiri people. They loudly chanted “Kashmir will become Pakistan” and “Long live the Pak Army”.

Assistant Commissioner Bahadur Khan Khosa and other speakers termed the measures of 5 August 2019 a grave violation of the basic rights of the Kashmiri people. They said that on that day India ended the special status of Kashmiris through illegal and unconstitutional steps, and that the people there have faced continuous oppression since.

The speakers said Pakistan stands with its Kashmiri brothers and will continue its moral, diplomatic and political support. They demanded that the international community take notice of human rights violations in occupied Kashmir and play its part in securing the right of self-determination for the Kashmiri people. At the end of the rally, a special prayer was offered for the security of the country, the freedom of the Kashmiri people and lasting peace in the region.
