LORALAI: Students of Classes 9 and 10 of Captain Waqar Kakar Shaheed Balochistan Residential College (BRC) Loralai visited the University of Loralai on an educational study tour. The college teachers, Professor Ehsan and Professor Zulfiqar, accompanied the students.

During the visit, the students met the university’s Vice Chancellor, Engineer Professor Dr Ehsanullah Kakar. Welcoming the delegation, the Vice Chancellor urged the students to make higher education their priority, benefit from modern knowledge and use their abilities for national development.

He said education was an effective means of developing the intellectual, moral and professional abilities of the young generation and was the foundation of the country’s progress and prosperity.

Later, the Vice Chancellor’s Principal Staff Officer, Dr Khalid Khan, took the students on a tour of the university’s various departments. The students were given a detailed briefing on the university’s academic programmes, modern teaching facilities, science laboratories, central library, research activities and the various facilities available to students.

During the study tour, the students observed various departments, laboratories and other academic centres. They showed keen interest in the academic and research facilities provided at the university.

The university administration said such study tours aimed to familiarise students with opportunities in higher education, research activities and a modern learning environment, so that they could make better educational decisions in future.
