Koh-i-Suleman commissioner chairs Polio and EPI task force meeting in Barkhan

BARKHAN/RAKHNI: A meeting of the Divisional Task Force for Polio Eradication and EPI was held under the chairmanship of Koh-i-Suleman Division Commissioner Mujeeb-ur-Rehman Qambrani. The meeting reviewed preparations for the November anti-polio campaign, vaccination coverage and effective monitoring.

DIG Koh-i-Suleman Range Ayaz Ahmed Baloch, Divisional Director Health Dr Mehar Din Khetran, Health Department officials and representatives of the WHO attended the meeting. The deputy commissioners and SPs of Barkhan, North Dera Bugti and Kohlu took part via video link.

Koh-i-Suleman Division Commissioner Mujeeb-ur-Rehman Qambrani directed all departments to work under a coordinated strategy, ensure implementation of the micro-plan and effectively monitor the attendance and performance of the teams. He stressed keeping data and the dashboard updated on time, holding monthly review meetings and achieving the set targets of the campaign.

He made it clear that negligence and carelessness would not be tolerated and that delivering the polio vaccine to every child was the joint responsibility of all departments.
