Children from 13 clusters were examined at hospitals in North Karachi, Nazimabad, Farida Yaqoob Hospital, and hospitals in Orangi and Korangi, as well as at medical centres in Malir, Shah Faisal and Lyari. The children were accompanied by their mothers and guardians.
Specialist doctors examined the children for eye, dental, nose, ear and throat problems and general illnesses. Children who needed further treatment were offered care at Al-Khidmat hospitals. Children with weak eyesight were given spectacles made to the prescriptions of the doctors. Children needing dental treatment will also be treated free of charge. The medical staff of Al-Khidmat hospitals assisted the doctors.
