Rally held in Gwadar on Kashmir Black Day to show solidarity with Kashmiris

GWADAR: As elsewhere in the country, a rally was held in the coastal city of Gwadar on Kashmir Black Day. The district administration organised it on the directions of the provincial government. Students, citizens and officials of various government departments took part.
The rally began at Syed Hashmi Chowk and ended at Marine Drive.
Expressing solidarity with the people of Kashmir, the participants said Kashmiris had faced hardship and oppression since Indian forces entered and occupied Kashmir on 27 October 1947. They said Pakistan observed Black Day every year to draw the world’s attention to the Kashmir dispute.
Reaffirming their support for the right of self-determination of the Kashmiri people, they urged the international community to play an effective role in a just resolution of the Kashmir dispute in line with United Nations resolutions. They also called for Kashmiris to be given their basic rights.
