SIBI: An awareness walk was held in Sibi, led by Deputy Commissioner Sibi Major (retd) Ilyas Kakazai, for the anti-polio campaign starting on 2 November. Health Department officers, students, notables and other concerned people took part.

The walk aimed to raise public awareness about ending polio and to inform parents of the importance of the campaign. Participants urged people to make sure all their children up to five years of age are given polio drops. They also asked them to cooperate fully with the polio teams.

Deputy Commissioner Sibi Major (retd) Ilyas Kakazai said that ending polio is the shared responsibility of everyone. He said parents should give their children polio drops in every campaign to protect them from lifelong disability. He asked them to ensure that no child is left without the protective drops.

The Balochistan government is continuing effective measures to protect children from polio and to eradicate the disease from the province completely. The public is urged to cooperate with the polio teams during the campaign starting on 2 November.
