Administrator Bashir Ahmed Barech inspects Quetta’s Killi Shabo, Hudda Manojan Road, Serena Chowk

QUETTA: Metropolitan Corporation Quetta Administrator Bashir Ahmed Barech made a detailed visit to several areas of the city, including Killi Shabo, Hudda Manojan Road and Serena Chowk. Officers and staff of the sanitation and other departments concerned were with him.

During the visit, the administrator closely inspected garbage points, sewerage lines and drains, large and small, on the roads. He took strong notice of the poor sanitation arrangements.

Residents’ problems

He listened to the problems of citizens and residents present at the spot directly, at their doorsteps. He assured them that all their problems would be resolved on a priority basis.

Mr Barech took immediate notice of a blocked sewerage line at Serena Chowk and drainage problems on Hudda Manojan Road. He directed the staff concerned to complete the repair and cleaning work on an emergency basis as soon as possible, so that the flow of traffic could be restored and citizens did not face any difficulty in moving around.

He made it clear that the beauty and cleanliness of Quetta and the provision of basic facilities to citizens at their doorsteps were the first responsibility of the corporation. He said no negligence in this regard would be tolerated.

Residents expressed happiness over the administrator’s immediate visit and his orders to resolve the problems.
