Water reaches Bagh Tail, last point of Qabu distributary, at midnight

USTA MUHAMMAD: On the special directions of Deputy Commissioner Usta Muhammad Muhammad Ramazan Palal, Assistant Commissioner Muhammad Ramazan Ishtiaq and Irrigation Executive Engineer Ghulam Muhammad Badini carried out a full-scale operation on the Qabu distributary, along with officers and staff of the Irrigation Department. The aim was to ensure fair distribution of water and its timely supply to the tail end.

All water courses on the Qabu distributary were closed temporarily so that water could flow without interruption and reach the tail end without obstruction. Officials of the district administration and the Irrigation Department stayed at the site until late at night and monitored the flow of water continuously.

As a result of these joint efforts, water was successfully brought to Bagh Tail, the last point of the Qabu distributary, at midnight. This gave immediate relief to people facing a shortage of drinking water.

Deputy Commissioner Muhammad Ramazan Palal said the rights of the people at the tail end would be protected at all costs and there would be no compromise on the fair distribution of water. He said action against illegal water courses, encroachments and water theft would continue without discrimination so that every area received its rightful share.

The district administration and the Irrigation Department thanked landowners and the public for their cooperation. They expressed the hope that the same spirit of cooperation would continue in future for the fair distribution of water and the protection of the rights of the tail end.
