Gwadar district chairman says development work under way in all 13 union councils

GWADAR: People from different walks of life met District Chairman Gwadar Shay Mukhtar Baloch and presented their problems and suggestions. The district chairman directed the officials concerned and local government bodies to resolve several issues at once. Progress was made on a number of issues on the spot.

He said local government bodies are the main means of resolving public problems. He said elected local representatives should stay in constant contact with the people of their areas and resolve their problems on a priority basis.

The district chairman said development projects are being carried out in all 13 union councils of the Gwadar district council without discrimination and on an equal basis. He said this is so that people in every area get basic facilities, better infrastructure and equal opportunities for progress. He said public problems can be resolved at people’s doorsteps only by making local governments empowered and active.
