Chaman development committee reviews BSDI Phase 3 projects

CHAMAN: A meeting of the District Development Committee was held under the chairmanship of Chaman Deputy Commissioner Habib Ahmed Bangulzai. Heads of all the relevant departments in the district attended. The meeting aimed to review ongoing and completed development projects and to make future planning effective.

The meeting was briefed in particular on ongoing and completed projects under the Balochistan Special Development Initiative (BSDI) Phase 3. Officers informed the meeting of their departments’ performance, problems and progress.

The Deputy Commissioner said the Balochistan government was giving priority to projects of a collective nature so that the largest possible number of people benefit. He directed that projects be completed within the set time, with transparency and in line with quality standards. He also directed that the next meeting identify projects that could give the public immediate relief.

At the end of the meeting, participants renewed their resolve to speed up work on projects, make the monitoring system effective and give priority to the public interest.
