Meeting in Quetta reviews flour prices, millers pledge support to provide relief

QUETTA: A meeting was held under the chairmanship of Additional Deputy Commissioner (General) Muhammad Anwar Kakar to review recent flour prices and provide relief to the public. Representatives of the Flour Mills Association, owners of various flour mills, and the food and industries departments attended.

The meeting held a detailed discussion on current flour prices across the country, the factors behind the rise in prices and related matters. It stressed that all relevant institutions should take steps through mutual cooperation and an effective strategy to ensure the supply of flour to the public at reasonable prices.

The Flour Mills Association and mill owners assured the administration of all possible cooperation in providing relief to the public. The meeting expressed the resolve that, with the cooperation of the relevant departments and flour mills, practical steps would soon be taken to give the people of Quetta relief on flour prices.
