Usta Muhammad market committee discusses reviving grain market and starting trade soon

USTA MUHAMMAD: An important meeting was held at the Market Committee Usta Muhammad on reviving the grain market, formally starting the sale and purchase of agricultural produce, and providing better trade facilities to local landowners and traders.
Former member of the provincial assembly Haider Khan Jamali, Deputy Commissioner Usta Muhammad Muhammad Ramzan Palal, Market Committee Chairman Murtaza Khan Jamali and Vice Chairman Ejaz Khan Hajwani attended the meeting. Representatives of the Green Merchants Association, the Mills Association, the Anjuman-e-Tajiran and the Landowners Association, and notables of the area, also took part.
Reviving the grain market
The meeting reviewed various proposals in detail for reviving the grain market. It considered how business activity in the market could begin as soon as possible, so that local landowners could sell their produce in an organised way and traders could have a proper trade centre for buying and selling grain.
The participants stressed that reviving the grain market would promote agricultural trade and increase local business activity.
The meeting also discussed renting out the existing Market Committee shops in accordance with the rules, consultation with representatives of the trade bodies and associations concerned, organising business matters, and providing basic administrative facilities in the market. It was agreed that the prescribed procedure would be followed in allotting shops, so that trade could proceed in a transparent and orderly manner.
Security arrangements
The meeting paid special attention to security arrangements to keep law and order in the market and to provide a safe environment for landowners, traders, buyers and other business people. It was decided that necessary steps would be taken through the SP Usta Muhammad to ensure police security, so that business people could carry on their activities without fear.
The participants agreed that the Market Committee, the district administration, trade bodies, the Landowners Association and the departments concerned would have to play a joint role in reviving the grain market. Practical steps would be taken to resolve problems through mutual consultation and cooperation and to start buying and selling.
The meeting stressed that reviving the market would give local landowners an organised platform to sell their produce, while traders and mill owners would also get better opportunities to expand business. It is expected that this will widen agricultural trade in the area, strengthen the local economy and create jobs.
The meeting described the revival of the grain market as an important step towards promoting agricultural trade in Usta Muhammad, providing better facilities to landowners and traders, and stabilising the local economy. The participants expressed their resolve to continue efforts, with the cooperation of all parties concerned, to make the market functional and to start business activity soon.
