USTA MUHAMMAD: The Education Department has immediately suspended 26 teaching and non-teaching staff who were continuously absent from duty. The action follows the decisions taken at a meeting of the District Education Group (DEG), chaired by Deputy Commissioner Usta Muhammad Muhammad Ramzan Palal, and the October 2026 RTMS attendance report.

Along with this action by the District Education Officer, Usta Muhammad, an inquiry committee has been formed to conduct a transparent and impartial investigation into the matter. The committee has been directed to examine in detail the attendance records of the staff concerned, school documents, the RTMS report and other available evidence. It will prepare its report on the basis of facts and present it at the next meeting of the District Education Group.

The inquiry committee will also ensure that all the staff concerned are given a proper opportunity to present their position and defend themselves. This is so that the proceedings are completed transparently and a final decision can be taken in light of the facts and in accordance with the rules and regulations.

Resolve to make monitoring more effective

The district administration and the Education Department have made it clear that there will be no compromise on the attendance and punctuality of teachers and other staff in government educational institutions, on the continuity of teaching activities, or on the standard of education. It is the basic responsibility of government employees to perform their duties regularly and responsibly, because staff absence directly affects students’ education and academic activities.

The district administration has expressed its resolve to make monitoring more effective in order to improve the performance of educational institutions, ensure quality education for students and make effective use of public resources. Action will continue against staff found guilty of absence or negligence of duty, in line with the findings of the inquiry and the relevant rules and regulations.
