Sindh Assembly passes Jamaat-e-Islami resolution to abolish levy tax
The Sindh Assembly session began under the chair of Speaker Awais Qadir Shah. Jamaat-e-Islami member Muhammad Farooq moved a resolution to abolish the levy tax, which was passed.
Provincial Minister for Home Affairs Zia-ul-Hassan Lanjar said that this was a matter for the federal government. He said the Sindh government could not abolish the levy tax, but could make a demand to the federal government.
The resolution said that the Sindh Assembly demanded that the federal government abolish the levy tax. The Sindh Assembly passed the resolution.
