Iranian president proposes non-aggression pact among Islamic countries

Addressing an Islamic unity conference in Tehran, Masoud Pezeshkian said Iran was ready for joint security arrangements with neighbouring countries. If there was any dispute between Islamic countries, he said, they should resolve it among themselves.
The Iranian president said Tehran was making the offer not out of weakness but on the basis of experience gained from war.
Masoud Pezeshkian said defending Iran was not tantamount to hostility towards Muslim countries. Islamic countries should avoid becoming a platform for attacks against one another.
The Iranian president also stressed the need for cooperation and joint security arrangements among Islamic countries for peace and stability in the region.
