CM Bugti launches ‘Sehat Dehleez’ app; 791 free consultation calls on first day
QUETTA: Balochistan Chief Minister Mir Sarfraz Bugti has said the provincial government has launched a modern digital application, “Sehat Dehleez”, to give people in remote and backward areas free medical consultation at home. Through the app, citizens will be able to get free advice from experienced medical experts 24 hours a day, 365 days a year.
In a message on the social media website X, the chief minister said that taking health services to people’s doorsteps through modern technology was among the priorities of the Balochistan government. He said that on the very first day the app went live, experienced doctors gave free medical consultation to citizens through 791 consultation calls. He said this clearly showed the usefulness of the service and the public need for it.
The chief minister said that, given Balochistan’s vast area, its far-flung settlements and problems of access to medical facilities in some areas, providing health services through modern digital means was important. He said the app would give citizens medical advice at home and help them avoid long journeys and unnecessary hardship in seeking initial guidance.
He said it was the government’s resolve to ensure quality health services for the ordinary people of Balochistan, who suffer in the scorching heat and the biting cold, and that geographical distance should not stop any citizen from getting medical guidance.
The chief minister said that digital facilities such as Sehat Dehleez were an important step towards making contact between the public and medical experts easier and making use of modern technology. He said the Balochistan government would continue to take practical steps to improve services in basic sectors, including health, keeping in view the needs of the people.
