Barkhan health director makes surprise visit to DHQ Hospital and MCH centre

BARKHAN: District Director Health Dr Muhammad Hassan Domki made a surprise visit to the District Headquarters (DHQ) Hospital Barkhan and the Mother and Child Health (MCH) centre during the morning shift. He inspected various departments of the hospital in detail and reviewed the medical facilities provided to patients.

During the visit, the district director health made a special inspection of the dental ward, the dialysis unit, the emergency department and the MCH centre. He checked the stock of medicines at the hospital, the quality of patient care, staff attendance and the duty roster arrangements.

Instructions

Dr Muhammad Hassan Domki issued strict instructions to the staff concerned. He said all administrative and medical records of the hospital must be updated regularly on a daily basis. He said no effort should be spared in providing patients with timely and quality treatment, including cleanliness.

He made it clear that the main purpose of the surprise visit was to improve the overall performance of the hospital, ensure 100 per cent staff attendance, and make the medicine system transparent so that the best health facilities could be provided to people at their doorstep.

He said negligence in duty would not be tolerated under any circumstances.
