QUETTA: Dr Rababa Khan Baledi, Adviser to the Chief Minister of Balochistan on the Women Development Department, met Director General BSCA Dr Hafeez Ahmed Jamali, Director General of the National Institute of Public Administration (NIPA) Quetta Dr Syed Ali Raza Shah and Director General NAVTTC Balochistan Dr Hussain Bakhsh Magsi.

The meeting discussed various measures and proposed training programmes to promote professional development, modern technical education, vocational training and job-oriented skills for the youth and women of Naseerabad.

Training programmes for Naseerabad

Dr Rababa Khan Baledi said that giving the youth of Balochistan, especially women, skills in line with modern needs was essential for sustainable economic development. She stressed that training programmes introduced in Naseerabad should match local needs, available resources and the demands of the labour market.

She said that, instead of relying only on traditional education, young people must be given opportunities in practical skills, digital literacy, entrepreneurship and vocational training so that they could not only find jobs but also start their own businesses.

Economic empowerment of women

Dr Rababa Khan Baledi praised the immense talent among the women of Naseerabad. She said that turning it into economic opportunities required effective training facilities, institutional support and market-linked skills programmes.

According to her, the economic empowerment of women not only improves the standard of living of their families but also plays an important role in overall social and economic development.

The Adviser on Women Development stressed coordinated cooperation among the institutions concerned so that practical and result-oriented training initiatives could be devised to bring marked improvement in the lives of young people and women.

She said that the fruits of development should reach every part of the province and that investment in human resource development in districts such as Naseerabad was vital for the future. The Women Development Department attaches importance to cooperation with the institutions concerned to empower women and ensure their effective participation in economic activity.
