Government Issues Notification Cutting Petrol and Diesel Prices

ISLAMABAD (Online) – The government has announced a reduction in petroleum product prices and issued a notification of the new rates. According to the notification, the price of petrol has been cut by Rs9.41 per litre, while the price of high-speed diesel has been reduced by Rs5.56 per litre.

After the reduction, the new price of petrol has been set at Rs352.59 per litre, while high-speed diesel now costs Rs382.25 per litre. These rates will be available for 6 November, so that consumers can purchase fuel at the new prices for that date.

The notification issued by the government, dated 5 November, makes clear that the new petroleum product prices will apply only for 6 November. The decision has been formally announced through this notification.

The reduction in petrol prices is expected to bring relief to citizens who use motorcycles and other petrol-powered vehicles. The cut in diesel prices may also affect costs in the transport and freight sectors, as diesel is the primary fuel used in these industries.

With the issuance of the notification, the new petroleum product prices are now officially in effect, and consumers can buy petrol at Rs352.59 and diesel at Rs382.25 per litre on 6 November.
