KSE-100 index gains 120 points to close at 168,580 after volatile session

The stock exchange saw a rally at the start of trading on the third business day of the week. The 100-share index of the Pakistan Stock Exchange rose by more than 300 points to 168,837.

During trading, the index gained more than 800 points at one stage. However, it closed the day 120 points higher at 168,580.

On the previous business day, the 100-share index had closed at 168,460 points, up by 2,592 points.
